Over the past four years we have been contracted to work on a significant number of vessels and have supplied a number of Gardner engines to others.

We have been given permission to include the following as publicly referenceable.

Dorothea and the Gardner engine 4LK

Gardner 4L2, 1931 Built by Lavers & Co, Dartmouth in 1932.

The original 4L2 has been removed for rebuilding and in the interim the 4LK (shown) has been installed. This genuine marine unit (not a conversion) is one of only forty produced in the early 60's. It is not generally known that the 4LK was used by the Admiralty to power the Midget submarines during the last world war.
