Launch of Feadship Monara

Congratulations to the refit team of Motor Yacht Olympia, recently renamed Monara (as she was originally), and re-launched last weekend. During the 2 year refit, both Gardner 8L3B engines were removed and sent to our works for a full overhaul with custom paint finish. They were returned to the Feadship yard in Holland where they were re-installed into the completely redesigned engine room. It was a pleasure to be involved with such a fantastic project.…

New Dynamometer Test Building

After a £30,000 upgrade, we are very happy to announce the opening of our new test house. This will allow us to test engines up to 1000BHP, at full power, with no time or cooling limits. This replaces our old, Heenan & Froude DPX4 dynamometer, taken from the original Gardner factory test house in Manchester. After some 40 years of service, it will remain in the corner of our stores in retirement.

Feadship Engine Overhaul

We are proud to announce that we have secured the contract to overhaul twin 8L3B engines with Gardner 3UC gearboxes for use in the restoration of a classic Dutch Gentleman's motor yacht. The restoration is being undertaken by Feadship in Holland. The engines are having a custom paint finish to the owners specification. There will also be a glass panel in the saloon floor to view the engines over a glass of wine in the.

We are very pleased to announce that Gardner Marine Diesels Ltd (GMD) has acquired the assets of PGE Services Ltd (PGE).
